It is the responsibility of the user to make his/her own visa, travel and accommodation arrangements. However, the HiRadMat team is available to assist in any queries.

Accommodation

CERN offers on-site accommodation which can be reserved through the CERN Housing Service:

Note that only a limited number of rooms are available so early booking is recommended. In case the CERN hotel is fully booked you can find a list of recommended hotels near CERN can be found here.

Travel across CERN campus

CERN is a large campus with 2 main sites (one in Switzerland and one in France). A car is recommended for easy travel between sites. We recommend that experimental teams have at least one car at their disposal for travel between the different HiRadMat locations (HiRadMat control room at Meyrin Site, CERN Control Room at Prevessin Site).

Unfortunately, CERN cars cannot be used by external users.
